Kay D’Esperans means House of Hope. Just three weeks after the earthquake on January 12th, 2010 the vision was born to accommodate teams that were coming to Haiti to assist in the recovery efforts after the earthquake. The Guest House officially opened in January, 2012.
The mission of Kay D’Esperans is a person-focused ministry of Functional Literacy Ministry of Haiti. The guest house was established with a dual purpose:
• To provide safe, comfortable, and affordable accommodations for mission teams during their stay in Haiti.
• To serve as a symbol of hope for the Haitian community as teams partner with the Haitian people to help ” build back better”.
Kay D’Esperans is located in the mountain area south east of Port-Au- Prince Located in Thomassin. It is a 45/60 minute drive south of the Port-Au-Prince airport. Teams staying at the guest house can conveniently serve Delmas, Petionville, Laboule, Thomassin, Boutiliers, Kenscoff, Fort Jacques, Belot.
Kay D’Esperans overlooks the mountains of Haiti and guests can enjoy sitting on the terrace and watch the early morning sunrise or the magnificent starry landscape at night. Outdoor patio furniture provides casual conversation areas.
